On 02 March 2026, GOE Alliance participated in a working session at the VIFC-HCMC Building to welcome Ms. Alexandra Smith, Consul General of the United Kingdom, and her accompanying delegation.
The discussion focused on two strategic themes: Green Finance and Education. Both sides noted meaningful similarities between the United Kingdom’s experience in sustainable finance development and professional financial training, and VIFC-HCMC’s long-term positioning as an emerging financial center seeking to build internationally aligned infrastructure.
The exchange explored cooperation possibilities over a 5–20 year horizon. Beyond policy dialogue, conversations touched on practical pathways for sustainable capital mobilization, regulatory coordination, and human capital development. Education was framed as a structural pillar — ensuring that governance, compliance, and leadership capabilities evolve alongside financial innovation.
GOE Alliance contributed to the dialogue by outlining two areas connected to the On-chain Economy:
On-chain Academy and leadership training programs to support the development of professionals and policymakers operating within digital asset markets at VIFC-HCMC.
Real-World Asset (RWA) development, including the tokenization of green finance instruments within regulated frameworks to enhance transparency and cross-border participation.
These topics received interest from members of the business delegation accompanying the British Consulate, with invitations for continued technical-level discussions.
The session reflects VIFC-HCMC’s role as a platform for sustained international engagement. For GOE Alliance and its members, such connections contribute to deeper integration within global financial networks. Similar exchanges across the value chain will continue to be facilitated, supporting a steady and internationally connected development path for Vietnam’s sustainable finance and digital asset ecosystem.
